Inaugurated by Sarod Maestro Pandit Buddhadeb Dasgupta at Kolkata press club on 27th June, 2009 in the presence of Eminent Bengali Poet and Novelist Sri Subhas Ghosal, Eminent Internationally recognized Poet Sonnet Mondal, (Founder and Secretary General of UMFPS),Dr. Santanu Kr. Karmakar, Secretary of GAABESU and SPICMACAY BEC Chapter.

Musical Oasis for REsurrection has been created as a Sub-Unit of The United Minds For Peace Society specially to promote Indian Classical Music in Concurrence with today's Fusion World.The UMFPS Governing body took up the music project considering music as an element of Peace and Harmony.This Sub-unit is guided by UMFPS memorandum but has a small governing body of its own which in turn functions under the Governing body of UMFPS.The Secretary General by virtue of his post will be the ex-officio chairman of the unit.
